Why In News?
- On November 2, 2022, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched 'Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0' by transferring an amount of Rs 1 crore 85 lakh for higher education to 1477 Ladli Laxmi daughters from Ravindra Bhawan Bhopal.

- On this occasion, the Chief Minister released the booklet 'Ladli Laxmi Yojana' published by Women and Child Development. The booklet mentions in detail the development journey since the launch of the scheme. The Chief Minister also handed over cheques of the amount as a token to the daughters taking admission in the college under the scheme.
- Giving information about the background of the launch of Ladli Laxmi Yojana, the Chief Minister said that after becoming the Chief Minister in the year 2005, he prepared the Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Launched since 2007, more than 43 lakh Ladli Laxmi are associated with family members.
- The Chief Minister said that Ladli Laxmi Yojana has been linked with education. Arrangements have been made to pay incentive amount for the daughter on passing in various classes. Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0 has been started to help Ladli Laxmi's for admission in college. Now the state government will arrange the fees of the college.
- Additional Chief Secretary of Women and Child Development Ashok Shah said that under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 25,000 will be given to the daughter after going to college after passing class 12th, which will help her in educating and choosing a career.
- Apart from this, the Chief Minister also inaugurated 'Ladli Laxmi Vatika' developed behind Tatya Tope Nagar Stadium in Bhopal. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided to develop 'Ek Park Ladli Laxmi Beti Ke Naam' in every district.
