On June 27, 2023, Powerlifter Kuldeep Dandotia of Madhya Pradesh's Morena district won the gold medal in the ongoing Asian Pacific Power Lifting and Bench Press Championship in Hong Kong.

- Kuldeep Dandautia won the gold medal in the three rounds of the 120 kg plus junior category by lifting 95 kg, 105 kg and 115 kg respectively at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong, while South Africa's 107.5 kg and New Zealanders were second and third respectively with 107.5 kg weight.
