- On August 9, 2021, Chief Minister Hemant Soren distributed a total of Rs. 734 crore under Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and Chief Minister Livestock Distribution Program to about 2 lakhs farmers.
- This amount was distributed to the farmers on the occasion of 'World Tribal Day'.
Key Points
- The main goal of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and Chief Minister's Livestock Distribution Program is to reduce poverty in the state by increasing the income of farmers. Along with this, the problem of malnutrition present in the state is also to be solved through livestock distribution.
- On this occasion, the commitment of increasing the contribution of the agriculture sector to the GDP of the state was expressed by the Chief Minister by strengthening the economic condition of the farmers in Jharkhand.
