- According to information received from the media on February 22, 2023, players from Jharkhand won a total of 32 medals including 21 gold, seven silver and four bronze in the National Powerlifting Championship held in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.

- Jharkhand's Ashrita Tirkey won the Senior Strongwoman of India, Akhlaq Khan the Junior Strongman of India and Aftab Alam the Best Lifter in the National Powerlifting Championship held at Bhilai, Chhattisgarh from February 17-22.
- Harsh Anand, Manjit Toppo, Anand Karmakar, Monu Kumar, Aftab Khan, Akshay Shukla, Aseem Khalkho, Bhaskar Dubey, Akhlaq Khan, Mohammad Usman, Wasim Ansari, Ashrita Tirkey, Anjali Kumari, Kanwaljit Kaur, Isha Shreya won gold from Jharkhand. Kujur is included.
- In this championship, Rajan Pandey, Rohit Biruli, Harsh Anand, Monu Kumar, Ayush Kumar, Anand Karmakar, Sneha Kumari Khushbu Soy won silver, while Neel Amrit, Yashraj, Krishna Nayak, Akash Minj won bronze.
- It is known that Jharkhand Powerlifting Association Secretary Ashok Kumar Gupta was in the role of National Referee.
