Why In News?
According to the information given by Chhattisgarh Public Relations Department on September 17, 2023, Jashpur district has received 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 5 Bronze medals in the 23rd School State Level Taekwondo Competition held from 10 to 14 September in Korba.
Key Points:
- Jashpur Collector Dr. Ravi Mittal said that the district's Ayush Yadav, father Akhilesh Yadav, Prateek Bada, Father Nirmal Bada have been selected for the national level Taekwondo competition.
- Yuvraj Kumar and Binesh Lakra of the district got silver medals. Similarly, Karan Ram, Manish Bhagat, Rudra Pratap Singh, Ishapriya Lakra, Neha Nagvanshi received bronze medals.
- The Taekwondo coach said that the players selected for the national team will take part in the national competition organized in Betul, Madhya Pradesh in December, for which the children are being made proficient in the sport.
