Why in News?
On 10 April 2023, Madhya Pradesh's Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary inaugurated the state-level Japanese Encephalitis vaccination campaign at Raisen District Hospital.
Key Points
- In the first phase of this vaccination campaign, a 100 percent encephalitis vaccine will be given to children aged 1 to 15 years from April 10 to 30 in Raisen and Vidisha districts.
- Japanese encephalitis is caused by the bite of the Culex mosquito. Its vaccination gives protection from this deadly disease.
- The vaccination team will ensure 100 percent vaccination of children in the Japanese Encephalitis vaccination campaign.
