  • Recently, IACP, an international policing organization based in the US, has announced the award of 'IACP Award 2021' to Korea district's SP Santosh Kumar Singh.

Key Points

  • This award will be given to Santosh Singh in the '40 under 40' category. It is given to such a police officer under the age of 40 of the world, who has tried to bring change in policing work with good leadership ability and new experiments and good work.
  • SP Santosh Kumar Singh has been selected on the basis of his assessment of the work done by him in the last 8 years in better policing and improving the image of the police. In the past, DIG EOW Arif Sheikh from Chhattisgarh has received this award.
  • This time 40 police officers from 6 countries of the world - USA, UAE, Canada, Australia, Korea and India will be honored with this award. It also includes the name of IPS Amit Kumar of Uttar Pradesh cadre from the country.
  • The IACP announces such awards every year at its annual function in the month of September. The award will be presented to the selected officers in October 2022 in Texas, USA.
  • The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) is the world's largest and most influential professional association for police leaders, currently comprising more than 31,000 police officers from 165 countries around the world. It was established in the year 1893.
