Why In News?
- Presiding over the review meeting of the committee constituted under the ICCC project in Chandigarh on November 17, 2022, Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Integrated Command and Control Centers (ICCCs) will be set up in every district.
Key Points
- The Chief Secretary of the state informed that the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) will prove to be helpful in obtaining real time information along with ensuring security and surveillance, traffic management, solid waste management and effective use of e-governance applications.
- It is noteworthy that the state government is already running a pilot project of ICCC in three districts Gurugram, Faridabad and Karnal, which is yielding positive results.
- He informed that the ICCC project will prove to be a milestone in curbing crime in the state while ensuring transparency. The state government will prepare its own model to implement this scheme, which will eliminate the dependence of third parties. The project will be reviewed every 5 years to update the smart system.
- The project components include civil infrastructure, smart solutions, sensors/cameras, devices and IT infrastructure, he said. By next week, the proposed draft of this project will be presented to the Chief Minister with detailed information.
