The Infrastructure Finance Secretariat (IFS), Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in partnership with the Government of Madhya Pradesh, organized an Infrastructure Outreach Workshop in Bhopal on 24-25 May 2023.

- This is the fourth in a series of outreach workshops planned in association with State Governments and Union Territories and key Central Infrastructure Ministries, with the objective of providing an accurate understanding of the on-the-ground issues faced by the Project Sponsoring Authorities in undertaking large infrastructure projects. - The two-day workshop was inaugurated by Ajit Kesari, Additional Chief Secretary-Finance, Government of Madhya Pradesh, who laid special emphasis on developing a long-term vision for infrastructure development by properly understanding the needs and aspirations of the citizens and prioritizing the identified needs.
- The workshop was attended by over 60 senior officials from the State Governments of Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, as well as from key Union Infrastructure Ministries, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH). , was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

- Representatives of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu besides senior officials from Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited (NIIF), SBI Capital Markets Limited , International Finance Corporation (IFC) and representatives of NIIF- Infrastructure Finance Limited (NIIF-IFL) also participated in the workshop.
