- On August 20, 2021, Rajasthan's Medical and Public Relations Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma and Autonomous Government Minister Shanti Dhariwal inaugurated new works worth Rs 16.53 crore, giving a new gift to Kota district in the field of medicine.

- He dedicated the following works-
- Inaugurated the newly constructed MDRU Lab costing Rs 525 lakh in the medical college, on which Rs 47.44 lakh will be spent for one year operation.
- Flagged off Ambulance with negative pressure with 3 life saving equipment costing Rs 99.75 lakh.
- In the budget announcement the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Kidney Transplant Unit at the Medical College Hospital itself at a cost of 800 lakhs.
- Plantation was also done by inaugurating the Oxygen Generation Plant constructed at a cost of 115.94 lakh in the Super Specialty Hospital.
- Inaugurated the newly installed 4-D color Doppler sonography machine at JK Lone Hospital at a cost of Rs.65 lakhs. With this, the malformation of the baby in the womb, especially the congenital organs, will be checked, it will be facilitated in the diagnosis of diseases related to women and the child, and it can also be done sonography of muscles and joints.
- Shanti Dhariwal said that now medical facilities will be available in Kota similar to SMS Hospital Jaipur. This will directly benefit the patients coming from the state of Madhya Pradesh including the entire Hadoti.
- Dr. Sharma said that the infant mortality rate in Kota has come down due to expansion of medical facilities. The mortality rate was 7.62 percent in 2014, which was 6.84 percent in 2020 and the neonatal mortality rate has come down from 19 percent to 17.63 percent.
