Inauguration of Government Nursing College in Lalsot

Why in News?
On 15 May 2023, Rajasthan's Medical and Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena inaugurated the new Government Nursing College in the old Tehsil office located at Lalsot in the Dausa district of the state.
Key Points:
- College Education Commissioner Dr. Ghanshyam Bairwa said that as per the budget announcement by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for the year 2022-23, the Nursing College of Lalsot has started operating with an admission capacity of 60 students. Temporarily it is being operated in the old Tehsil building.
- The construction work is in progress on 8 bighas of land in Thaloj for the construction of the building of the Government Nursing College and hostel for the students at a cost of about Rs 22 crore.
- For the successful conduct of academic activities in the Nursing College, 16 teaching and 28 non-teaching faculty posts have been created.
- It is worth mentioning that big administrative offices & posts including ADM and Additional SP have been approved in Lalsot & all the facilities in the district are being developed in Lalsot.
- During this, the Medical & Health Minister including the Women & Child Development Minister inspected the college campus and also distributed scooties to 4 beneficiaries of the Divyangjan Scooty Distribution Scheme.
- It may be noted that under the said scheme, scooties will be provided to 35 Divyangjans of the Lalsot block.
