Important Approvals for Sports and Players in Rajasthan

Why in News?
On 4 May 2023, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved a financial provision of Rs 22.68 crore for constructing an All-Weather Swimming Pool at the State Sports Institute in Jodhpur, a sports complex at Bharatpur and a stadium and sports hostel at Shahbad in Baran.
Key Points:
- The construction work of Sports Complex Bharatpur will be done by RSRDC for Rs 7 crore. In addition, the construction of an all-weather swimming pool at the State Sports Institute in Jodhpur will be done for Rs 8.68 crore.
- On the other hand, the construction work of Shahbad's stadium and sports hostel will be done by RSRDC for Rs 7 crore.
- It is worth mentioning that the above announcements related to sports were made by the Chief Minister in the budget for the year 2023-24.
