ICJS Award | 18 Dec 2021
Why in News
- Jharkhand Police and Telangana Police jointly got the third position in the two-day Integrated Criminal Justice System (ICJS) award program organized by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) in New Delhi.
Key Points
- This award has been received for the better performance of Jharkhand Police in the field of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS). However, Madhya Pradesh stood first and Maharashtra Police in second place.
- With the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS), Jharkhand Police, Courts and Jails can get the details of any criminal on a single screen, in a minute with a single click. This system is not for the general public.
- About 592 police stations of the state are connected to this. Only eight police stations do not have this system. Efforts are also being made to connect through Rail-Tel in eight police stations where the CCTNS project is not working.
