Why in News?
- On February 10, 2022, during the meeting of the State Level Approval and Monitoring Committee of 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Housing for All Mission (Urban)' chaired by Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh Amitabh Jain, the construction of 12 thousand 60 houses in the state was approved. .
Key Points
- In the meeting, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain directed the officers to determine the priority basis for allotment of houses under the scheme.
- Under the Housing for All (Urban) Mission, 12060 houses will be constructed in the state at a cost of Rs 374 crore 93 lakh 12 thousand. The cost of each house will be Rs 3.05 lakh.
- It is noteworthy that the 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Housing for All Mission' has been implemented by the Central Government for urban areas Since June 2015.
