Formation of state level committee for Monitoring & Guidance under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary

Why in News?
On June 21, 2023, the State Government of Madhya Pradesh has constituted a State Level Committee under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to coordinate with the concerned departments under the Mission Shakti Yojana-Sambal and Samarth sub-scheme to monitor & guide the implementation of the scheme at district & state level.
Key Points:
- The Principal Secretary/Secretary, Women and Child Development will be the Member Secretary in this State Level Committee.
- Secretary, Public Health & Family Welfare, School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education, Skill & Employment, Finance, Science & Technology, Home, Sports & Youth Welfare, Scheduled Castes Welfare, Social Justice & Disabled Welfare, Backward Classes & Minorities Welfare will be a member of the Committee on Law and Legislative Affairs.
- The task of preparing the state-level annual action plan of the schemes under Mission Shakti will be done by the committee and monitoring meetings will be organized at least twice a year. The tenure of the committee will be till the period of the 15th Finance Commission.
