Formation of Board of Directors of MP Labor Welfare Board

Why in news?
On July 26, 2023, by Madhya Pradesh Government Labor Department, M.P. Labor Welfare Board has been constituted. Chairman Bhagwandas Gondane and Secretary Welfare Commissioner (ex-officio) were nominated in the constituted Board of Directors.

- At present, the Deputy Secretary M.P. Government, Labor Department Ratnakar Jha has been given the additional charge of Welfare Commissioner of the circle.
- The Board of Directors consists of 6 representatives of the employers, including Executive Director Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Bhopal or representative Atul Khandelwal, Nama Mukund Hari (Director Jargo Ind Pvt. Ltd. and Chairman Pithampur Industry Directors Organization, Pithampur District Dhar), Chandraprakash Awtani (Deputy General Manager (HR) Bhagirath Koch and Metal Factory, Indore, I.K. Kochhar (President Laghu Udyog Bharti, Ratlam Unit, Ratlam), CMD K.P. Solvex Pvt. Ltd., Niwadi and Amit Sharma (Executive Chairman Jaiprakash Associate Ltd., J.P. Nagar, Rewa) are included.
- Employees' representatives in the Board of Directors include Arvind Mishra (State Deputy General Secretary, Indian Labor Union, MP Gwalior), Kamlesh Patel (State Minister of Indian Labor Union, MP Katni), Sangeeta Srivastava (General Secretary, Anganwadi Workers Assistant Union), Indian Labor Union, M.P. Tikamgarh), R.D. Tripathi (President, MP Indian National Trade Union Congress, Bhopal), Deepak Jaiswal (National President National Front of Indian Trade Unions, Bhopal) and Ram Vilas Goswami (State President, Center of Indian Trade Unions Lashkar, Gwalior).
- 7 independent members have been nominated for the Board of Directors, in which Principal Secretary M.P. Government Labor Department, Bhopal, Labor Commissioner, M.P. Government, Indore, Director Employees State Insurance Services Indore, Social worker (Cleanliness Campaign Motivator) Pratap Karosiya (Indore), Shyam, Social worker (Chief of Consumer Jagran Manch, Indore) Sundar Chokse, Social worker and businessman Amrit Jain (Indore) and Dr. Manju Jarolia (Jabalpur) is included.
