Five 'Centers of Excellence' will be Opened in the State for Research and Development in the Field of E-Mobility | 07 Jan 2022

- On January 6, 2022, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala informed that five 'Centers of Excellence' would be opened in the state for research and development in the field of e-mobility. Apart from these, research centers will also be started in 20 ITIs or polytechnical institutes.
Key Points
- The Deputy CM said that each 'Center of Excellence' would be given financial assistance of Rs 5 crore. Similarly, 20 ITIs or polytechnical institutions will be given financial assistance of Rs.25 lakh each.
- He said that the State Government is emphasizing on promoting two wheeler, three wheeler and four wheeler e-vehicles. State government employees will be given special concessions on buying 'e-vehicles'.
- Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy is being made by the state government focusing on the e-vehicle manufacturers, user drivers and people setting up charging stations, in which special discounts will be given to them.
- The state government plans to have a large number of e-vehicles in the state in the year 2022. It is also the endeavor of the State Government that the Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy being prepared for the e-vehicle should be the best in the whole country.
