• Dr. Raman Singh has been the Chief Minister, MP, MLA and Union Minister of Chhattisgarh thrice.
• In the assembly elections held in November 2023, Dr. Raman Singh defeated Congress candidate Girish Dewangan by a margin of 45,084 votes.
• Dr. Raman Singh, a seven-time MLA, has been representing Rajnandgaon assembly seat since 2008.
• Dr. Raman Singh was also elected as Lok Sabha MP in the year 1999.
