Recently, Dr. Pawan Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Fine Arts, Kurukshetra University (KU) located in Kurukshetra district of Haryana, at the National Prize Distribution Ceremony of Lalit Kala Akademi at the 63rd National Art Exhibition in Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. Off Hope-II) has been awarded the prestigious Lalit Kala Akademi National Award.

- Deputy Director of the Public Relations Department, Dr. Deepak Rai Babbar said that Lalit Kala Academy had received 5714 entries from 2291 artists from across the country for this time's National Art Exhibition and Awards.
- Out of these entries, 20 artists were selected for awards, in which Dr. Pawan Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Fine Arts, Kurukshetra University, was honoured with the Lalit Kala Akademi National Award in the field of photography.
- The National Exhibition of Art (NEA) annually invites works of visual art from a variety of genres, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, digital art, video art and installation. This time the works of a total of 20 artists from across the country were displayed in the exhibition.
