- On February 14, 2022, Deepa Malik of Haryana was awarded the Asian Order Award, 2022.

- Tokyo Paralympics, 2022 has been the most successful Paralympics for India in all the Paralympics so far, in which India received a total of 19 medals. Deepa Malik has contributed significantly to this success as the head of the Paralympic Committee of India.
- It is worth mentioning that Deepa Malik is a handicapped sportsperson belonging to Bhainswal (Sonipat) of Haryana, who won silver medal in shot put in Rio Paralympics, 2016 with a throw of 4.61 meters. Deepa is the first Indian woman to win a medal in the Paralympic Games.
- Due to his remarkable achievements in Paralympic Games, he has been conferred with Arjuna Award and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna by the Government of India.
