On February 10, 2023, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the country's 'First Rural Science Congress' under the three-day 17th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress 2023 at UCOST, Campus, Vigyan Dham, Jhajhra.

- The goal of this Science Congress is to ensure proper development of the villages of Uttarakhand.
- Through this event, dialogues will be established on various topics like rural culture, agriculture, rural tourism and cuisine.
- This event will play an important role in realizing the concept of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and accelerating the integrated development of the state.
- On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated hydroponic unit, QR code-based biodiversity park and Pride of Uttarakhand Expo exhibition and released discussion books on Rural Science Congress, Uttarakhand Rural Development Tour and Science.
- On this occasion, the Chief Minister also honored the scientists with science for excellence and those who have done commendable work in the field of science and technology.
