Why In News?

• Recently, the Culture Department informed that a community radio station named 'Jai Ghosh' will be launched in Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi.

Key Points

• The objective of this radio station is to preserve, promote and popularize the unique cultural identity of Uttar Pradesh.
• The Culture Department will also produce and screen 75 short films on patriotism along with publication of 75 books depicting the rich history of 75 districts of the state on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav.
• Apart from this, the Department of Culture plans to organize 'One District-One Special Cultural Program' in every district as part of its six-month action plan.
• Simultaneously a 'Tridhara' national program dedicated to Sant Kabir, Sant Ravidas and Baba Gorakhnath will be organized along with the creation of a gallery based on the story of independence at the Government Archives, Lucknow.
