CM rewarded 3 Gauthans for their Excellent Work

Why is News?
On August 15, 2023, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel awarded three Gothans being operated under 'Suraji Gaon Yojana' in the state for their excellent work in the main function of Independence Day organized at the Police Parade Ground in the capital Raipur.
Key Points:
- On this occasion, the Chief Minister honoured the chairmen of Gauthan Management Committee with shawls, shriphal, citation and insignia.
- The awardees include Village Amlidih of Rajnandgaon district, Village Chandkhuri of Durg district and Village Hirri Gauthan Management Committees of Saranggarh-Bilaigarh district.
- It is worth mentioning that under the Suraji Village Scheme, various types of economic activities including vermicompost manufacturing, fisheries, poultry farming, vegetable production are being conducted by self-help groups in Gauthans along with day-care of pushes in the gauthans built in the village.
- These Gaushalas are being run through management, Gauthan Samiti and Gram Panchayat.
