CM Inaugurated the Country's Largest Laundry in NMCH | 18 Sep 2023

Why In News?

On September 15, 2023, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched the country's largest integrated laundry facility at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH).

Key Points:

• This unit is the largest and first unit in the country as well as Bihar. Its capacity is 12-14 tonnes per day.
• Here, sheets, towels and other clothes of health institutions like PMC HNMCH Indira Gandhi Heart Disease Institute will be washed together. It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
• For quality cleaning here, the Health Department has entrusted the responsibility of operation to the Quick Clean Agency.
• On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a 100-bed field hospital building constructed with prefab technology in the NMCH campus.
