Children's Session Organized in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly

On the occasion of Children's Day on November 14, 2021, a historic children's session was organized in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, where the children conducted the session as Speaker, Chief Minister and Minister and answered the questions of the children who became members. Zero Hour and Question Hour were organized in this unique session of the Vidhan Sabha.

- Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Dr. CP Joshi, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, ministers and MLAs were present in this children's session. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.
- The Speaker of the Assembly said that under the aegis of the Rajasthan branch of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, a children's session was conducted in the assembly on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day Amrit Mahotsav. Such a session has happened for the first time in the country.
- He said that this children's session will strengthen parliamentary democracy and we will all be able to understand the curiosity of children about democracy. The future generation has been given a chance to run the house, ask questions and express their views with discipline. He informed that five thousand five hundred children from fifteen states had applied online for the children's session, out of which two hundred children were selected.
- On this occasion, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that this is a wonderful innovation, which should be done in other states also, the organization of Children's Session in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly will be unforgettable. The systematic manner and discipline with which the future generation of the country has conducted the session will also send a message to the youth of the country that what role they can play in democracy.
