Chief Minister Inaugurated the Fourth Sub-Division of Kabirdham District, Sahaspur Lohara

Why In News?

  • On October 10, 2022, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the new revenue subdivision headquarters office at Sahaspur Lohara, the block headquarters, during his visit to Kabirdham district in his state-wide meeting.

Key Points

  • It is noteworthy that in the budget of the year 2022-23, Tehsil Sahaspur Lohara was given the status of sub-division. After its launch, it will be the fourth sub-division of the district.
  • The geographical area of Tehsil is 61479 hectares. Under this, 1 urban body, 96 gram panchayats, 198 villages are included.
  • Sahaspur has 1 health centre, 5 primary health centers and 25 sub-health centres. Under Tehsil Sahaspur there are 22 Paddy Purchase Centers, 5 Revenue Inspector Circles and 45 Patwari Halkas.
  • According to the 2011 census, the population of Sahaspur tehsil is 152238, of which 72792 are male and 72929 are female.
  • Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel gifted a medical college to the district during a meeting program in Kawardha Assembly constituency of Kabirdham district. The Chief Minister said that a new medical college will be opened in the zone.
  • Apart from this, the Chief Minister also made several announcements for development block Bodla, development block Sahaspur Lohara and Kawardha Nagar during the meeting program.
    • A new gram panchayat building will be constructed in village Jhalamla of development block Bodla.
    • Announcement of opening of Swami Atmanand School in Chilfi, Rengakhar and Podi of Development Block Bodla.
    • Ghatola reservoir will be constructed for irrigation facility in development block Sahaspur Lohara-240 hectare area.
    • Swami Atmanand announces opening of English medium school at Pipariya in Sahaspur Lohara development block.
    • Announcement of construction of museum of Baiga tribal society in Bhoramdeo to preserve and preserve the culture of Baiga society, a special backward tribe in Kawardha city.
