Chief Minister inaugurated C&D Plant at Hirapur Jarwai

Why in News?
On 19 April 2023, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the C&D plant at Hirapur Jarwai in Raipur during his Bhent-Mulaqat Programme.
Key Points
- On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that due to increase in construction activities in the cities, C&D plant has been constructed for the proper management of construction and demolition waste, colloquially called debris, coming out of demolition and other processes.
- Paver blocks, tiles, drain covers etc. will be manufactured by processing debris at this C&D plant.
- Proper disposal of debris through C&D plants will reduce problems like air quality, blockage of drains and reduction in water storage capacity of ponds.
