Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated the Animation and Multimedia Lab of Gurugram University in Gurugram district of the state.

Key Points

• Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal said that in view of the immense employment potential and demand of time, the introduction of BSc (Animation) course by Gurugram University is a commendable initiative.
• Vice-Chancellor of Gurugram University Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that a state-of-the-art computing lab has been developed with the aim of providing practical education of animation and multimedia to the students. Through this, students will get training in making 3D animated digital objects in animation film making and special effects etc.
• The Vice Chancellor apprised the Chief Minister that a three-year BSc Animation and Multimedia course is being run by the University. New facilities are being developed to provide all kinds of practical knowledge to the students according to the industrial needs in the curriculum. This will give students a better opportunity to hone their skills and enable them to take advantage of employment opportunities in the field of animation and graphics designing.
• On this occasion, the Chief Minister also digitally laid the foundation stone of the teaching block of the university being constructed at a cost of Rs 44 crore in Sector-87, about 15 km from Gurugram.
