Chief Justice Ravi Malimath launches online RTI portal for High Court & District Courts

Why in News?
On July 18, 2023, Chief Justice Ravi Malimath launched the online portal of RTI in Jabalpur, the main division bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Information about the three division benches of the High Court and the District Court will be available from the portal.
Key Points:
- Chief Justice Ravi Malimath said that Madhya Pradesh High Court is leading in working on paperless mode from start to finish across the country. The portal has been made integrated cloud-based, as well as integrated with the high court database.
- This online portal has also been linked to the cyber treasury for all types of online transactions.
- The Chief Justice said that this portal fixes the responsibility of the concerned officers and employees and makes them accountable for providing the information sought in the RTI.
- The software provides information to the State Public Information Officer and concerned staff on the e-RTI tab of the official website of the Court www.mphc.gov.in about every such activity in connection with the RTI, which is sought by the applicant, at a click.
