  • Key Points of Chhattisgarh Economic Survey Year 2021-22 are as follows -
    • The Gross State Domestic Product at market prices at constant prices in the year 2021-22 is estimated to increase to Rs 2,78,496 crore from Rs 2,49,683 crore in the previous year 2020-21, which is an increase of 11.54 percent.
    • In this, 3.88 percent growth is expected in agriculture and allied sectors (agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries and forests), 15.44 percent growth in industry sector (construction, manufacturing, mining and quarrying, power, gas and water supply) and 8.54 percent growth in service sector. .
    • In the year 2021-22, the contribution of agriculture and allied sector, industry sector and service sector in the Gross State Domestic Product at constant prices is 16.73, 50.61 and 32.66 percent respectively.
    • In the Advance Estimates for the year 2021-22, the Gross State Domestic Product (Market Price) at prevailing prices is likely to increase from Rs 3,52,161 crore in the previous year 2020-21 to Rs 4,00,061 crore, which shows an increase of 13.60 percent. .
    • In this, agriculture and allied sector increased from Rs 74,652 crore in the year 2020-21 to Rs 81,317 crore in the year 2021-22, from Rs 1,35,985 crore to Rs 1,59,473 crore in the industry sector and from Rs 1,18,538 crore in the service sector. 1,31,920 crore, which shows a percentage increase of 8.93, 17.27 and 11.29 respectively over the previous year.
    • According to the State's Gross Domestic Product Market Price Quick Estimate Constant Prices (Base Year 2011-12), there has been a decrease of -1.37 percent in the year 2020-21 as compared to the previous year 2019-20. In this, there has been a decrease of 5.48 percent in the agriculture and allied sector, -3.89 percent in the industry sector and -0.16 percent in the service sector, mainly due to the Covid-19 epidemic and lockdown.
    • Per Capita Income (Net State Domestic Product) at current prices is estimated to increase from Rs 1,05,778 to Rs 1,18,401 in 2021-22 as per Quick Estimates for the year 2020-21, showing an increase of 11.93 percent over the previous year.
