On December 18, 2022 Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Devendra Singh Babli said that light and CCTV cameras will be installed on the streets of villages of the state.
Key Points
- Minister Devendra Singh Babli said that there will be no shortage of funds in the development works of villages in the state. For this, development works will be done through e-tender under the zero tolerance policy of the state government.
- He said that even though development works in villages ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 100 crore are done through e-tender, they will all be under the supervision of Sarpanch's.
- He said that 50 percent share in panchayats of the state has been given to women, which is an example of women empowerment. Under the far-reaching thinking of the government, educated panchayats have been formed in the state, in which a lot of participation of the youth has come to the fore.
- He said that lights and CCTV cameras will be installed on the streets of all the villages. Out of the three lakh kilometers of streets across the state, work will be done on one lakh kilometers in the first phase.
- Similarly, the state government has started work under grey water management to deal with the problem of waterlogging in the villages, in which work has started in 1000 villages out of 3500 villages identified as waterlogged. 18 thousand crore rupees will be spent by the government to overcome the problem of water logging.
- He also called upon the panchayat representatives to pay full attention to the maintenance of public properties like community centers and schools in the village. The state government is renovating and renovating old buildings and buildings. Digital libraries are being opened in villages, where the youth of the village will be able to prepare for the examinations of administrative services like UPSC etc.
