Cabinet Minister Lays Foundation Stone of Rs 6.5 Crore Canal Based Drinking Water Project in Villages of Rewari | 19 Jun 2023
Why in News?
On June 17, 2023, Haryana's Public Health Engineering Minister Dr. Banwari Lal taking forward the series of development works in the Public Health Engineering Department, laid the foundation stone of the canal-based water distribution project to be built at a cost of about six and a half crore rupees in village Nangal Mundi and Lala village of Rewari district.
Key Points:
- Two crores 88 lakh rupees in village Lala and three crores 47 lakh 60 thousand rupees in village Nangal Mundi will benefit from these two villages besides many other villages.
- The Public Health Engineering Minister informed that clean drinking water is being distributed at the rate of 70 litres per person per day to all the houses in the village under the ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ scheme of the Haryana Government.
- Minister Dr. Banwari Lal said that it is the result of the government's policies of welfare and system change that the problem of drinking water, which was there before 2014 in the Bawal assembly constituency, has now been completely controlled.
