Bureau Of Civil Aviation Security Centre To Open In Haryana

Why in News?

  • On October 18, 2022, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala informed after a two-day national meeting of civil aviation ministers in New Delhi that the 'Bureau of Civil Aviation Security' centre will be opened in Haryana.

Key Point

  • Dushyant Chautala said that the center of 'Bureau of Civil Aviation Security' will be opened at Guru Jambheshwar University or Polytechnic in Hisar district of the state. Further formalities for this will be completed soon.
  • The Deputy Chief Minister said that hisar's aviation hub will be implemented in March 2023 and after that flights will be started from this airport to Amritsar, Jalandhar, Srinagar, Jammu, Jaipur, Indore, Ahmedabad, Agra, Varanasi, Dehradun and Gaya in Bihar. So that religious tourism can be promoted in the state and the movement of army personnel and officers from the border districts of the country can be facilitated.
  • The Deputy CM said that helihab will be constructed in Gurugram, for which 25 acres of land has also been provided by the state government. With the construction of this heli hub, helicopter-traffic will be diverted at Delhi's international airport.
