- On October 22, 2022, the Chief Minister of the state Nitish Kumar has decided to give Rs 3500 to each farmer family in the districts facing drought this year. According to the order of the government, this amount will be sent to the farmers' account before the Chhath festival.

- According to the information shared on the official Twitter handle of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rs 3500 is being transferred to the bank account of 7841 revenue villages of 937 panchayats of 96 blocks of 11 drought-affected districts of the state and all the affected families of all the villages, tolas and habitations under it. No affected families are left out, officials have been asked to take care of it.
- It is known that this year, due to less rainfall in many states of North India, farmers have been hit by drought. Bihar is no exception. Due to lack of timely rain, there was a delay in sowing paddy, on the other hand, those who have sown paddy in some way, their produce has been hit due to drying up of the crop.
