According to information received from media sources on March 1, 2023, Babita Gupta of Bihar has been selected for the 'Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman 2023' by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.

- On International Women's Day, she will be honored with the 'Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman 2023' by the President at a function organized by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti on March 4 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
- International Women's Day week will be celebrated from March 4 under the Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti.
- It is known that Babita Gupta, a resident of Siho village of Muzaffarpur, is a member of Self-Help Group (Jeevika), along with making her own livelihood by making decorative material from plastic waste, and showing the way to other women, and has won national level awards for different categories of cleanliness and drinking water. He has been selected in the competition.
- After her husband's disability, she became a member of Jeevika and learned the skill of making useful items from plastic waste. Due to this she has become self-reliant. Now she is giving training to the women of the village. With this initiative of hers, more than 24 women have become self-reliant.
