- Significantly, the police department has received a letter for this from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will participate in it as the chief guest. Uttarakhand got the responsibility of Police Science Congress 13 years back in 2010.
- It is known that every year Science Congress is organized in the country to brainstorm on how to make the police capable of fighting modern crimes. IGs and DGPs of all the states participate in this. Last year this Science Congress was held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
- Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar said that till now the FRI located in Dehradun has been proposed as the venue for the Police Science Congress. Senior police officers will be included for the panel in the Science Congress.
- The DGP said that this time the main points of the Science Congress will be drone technology, cybercrime, and prevention of drug smuggling. Cybercrime is a big crime at present. Criminals are using new methods in this. In such a situation, it is very important to discuss it in detail.
