On September 1, 2022, Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey launched the statewide 'Meri Policy Mere Haath' distribution program by providing 'Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana' policy to farmers at a program organized at his residence office in Raipur.

- Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey also distributed policy documents to 35 farmers on the occasion. Under the 'Meri Policy Mere Haath' program, the policy will be distributed to all the insured farmers of the state in the month of September.
- It is worth mentioning that in the Kharif season 2022, about 13 lakh 95 thousand 369 farmers of the state have got their crops insured under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. In this, Rs 161.89 crore as farmer's share, Rs 535.17 crore as state share and Rs 535.17 crore as central share, thus making a total premium amount of Rs 1232.23 crore.
- It is noteworthy that in the year 2021-22, a total of 16 lakh 9 thousand 646 farmers from Chhattisgarh had been insured under the scheme for Kharif and Rabi crops, out of which 6 lakh 89 thousand 324 farmers were paid insurance claim of Rs 1340.48 crore as sum insured.
- Similarly, in the year 2020-21, 17 lakh 3 thousand 992 farmers were insured under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for Kharif and Rabi crops, out of which a claim of Rs 853.81 crore was paid to them on the claims of 6 lakh 18 thousand 640 farmers.
- At the same time, 18 lakh 52 thousand 853 farmers of Chhattisgarh had insured under the scheme for Kharif and Rabi crops in 2019-20, out of which insurance claim of Rs 1264.34 crore has been paid to 6 lakh 57 thousand 907 farmers.
