On September 25, 2023, star shooter Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy of Excellence won the gold medal in the 10 meter air rifle team event while representing India in the ongoing 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
Key Points:
- Team India's trio of Divyansh Pawar, Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar and Rudrash Patil have won the gold medal in the men's 10-meter air rifle team event, creating a world record by scoring 1893.7 points. Earlier this record was held by China.
- Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar won the gold medal for the Indian team by contributing 631.6 points in the 10-meter air rifle team event. In the Asian Games itself, Aishwarya Pratap Singh secured third place bronze medal in the 10-meter rifle singles event with a score of 228.8 points.
