65 National-Level Medal-Winning Sportspersons from Rajasthan Get Out-of-turn Appointment

Why in News?
- On May 11, 2022, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved the proposal for the out-of-turn appointment of 65 national level medal winners of the state.
Key Points
- Out of these medal winning players, 46 have been given out-of-turn appointments to the post of Clerk Grade-II, 14 to the post of Forester, 3 to the post of Excise Guard and 2 to the post of Constable.
- As per the proposal, these national level medal winners have been allotted departments proportionately according to their first preference under the Rajasthan Out of Turn Appointment to Sports Medal Winner Rules, 2017.
- It is noteworthy that the players who have the qualification of post-graduation or graduation along with being gold medalists have been given appointment in the Government Secretariat and Rajasthan Public Service Commission according to their first preference.
- With this approval of the Chief Minister, it will be easy for the players to work in the state service as well as continue their sports activities smoothly.
