60 Teachers Honoured at State-level Teachers' Felicitation Ceremony | 06 Sep 2022

Why in News?

On the occasion of Teacher's Day on September 5, 2022, 60 teachers were honoured at the state level Teacher Award Ceremony at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan. Out of these, 56 teachers were honoured with State Teacher Award, 2021 and 4 teachers were honoured with Memorial Award in the name of great litterateurs of the state.

Key Points

• In the ceremony, each of the 56 teachers selected for the State Teacher Award, was given an amount of Rs. 21 thousand and a citation.
• Apart from this, 50 thousand rupees and citation were given to each teacher who was honoured with the award given in the memory of the great personalities of the state.
• There are memory awards in the name of 4 great literary figures of the state and the teachers honoured by them are-
