Why In News?
On December 14, 2022 Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the first 5G network in the state from Mahakaleshwar and Mahakal Lok Complex in Ujjain .

- This 5G service has been started by Reliance Jio in Mahakaleshwar and the newly built Mahakal Lok Complex.
- Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that due to network and digital access, the state will now develop rapidly and the introduction of 5G services will also accelerate the development of the state.
- The 5G service launched by Reliance Jio in Mahakaleshwar and the newly built Mahakal Lok Complex is completely free and will be available free of cost to the general public and all tourists visiting there.
