Why in News?
On March 31, 2022, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the State Government has decided to restore 3 percent reservation in total Group-C jobs under sports quota for outstanding sportspersons of the state.
Key Points
- It is noteworthy that 10 percent reservation for sports quota for category-D jobs is already in progress in the state.
- The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government would provide jobs to outstanding sports persons in future also under its 'Padak Lao-Pad Pao' programme.
- With the decision of 3 percent reservation in Group-C jobs, about 400 to 450 sportspersons will get jobs every year.
- Players will also be given the option to choose their favorite department for Group-C jobs by the government and they will be given relaxation on the basis of their priority and they can be appointed on the basis of their option.
