According to the information received from the media on September 1, 2023, 17 teachers of the state will be honored with the Shailesh Matiani State Educational Award by the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt. Gen. Gurmeet Singh (Retd.) on Teachers' Day, including 10 for elementary education, 6 for secondary and Includes 1 teacher from the training institute.

- It is noteworthy that according to Secondary Education Director Seema Jaunsari, the Shailesh Matiyani State Educational Award 2022 was announced by the department in February this year, but the teachers selected for these awards could not be rewarded.
- Among these teachers in primary education, Asha Budakoti from Pauri district, Sanjay Kumar Kuksal from Uttarkashi, Usha Gaur from Dehradun, Sanjay Kumar from Haridwar, Uttam Singh Rana from Tehri, Ravish Chandra Panchauli from Champawat, Suresh Chandra Sati from Bageshwar, Ganga from Pithoragarh. Arya and Dr. Asha Bisht from Nainital will be honored.
- In secondary education, Lokendrapal Singh from Uttarkashi, Sanjay Kumar from Dehradun, Damayanti Chand from Pithoragarh, Tribhuvan Chand from Bageshwar, Dr. Prabhakar Joshi from Almora, Nirmal Kumar from Udham Singh Nagar will be awarded.
- Apart from this, Dr. Shailendra Singh Dhapola, spokesperson of District Education and Training Institute Bageshwar, will be honored from the training institute.
