12% reduction in Crime against Women in Haryana

In the meeting held under the chairmanship of Haryana Police Director General Shatrujeet Kapoor on December 17, 2023, it was said that there has been a 12% reduction in crime against women in the year 2023.

- It was said in the meeting that there has been a 30% decline in robbery related cases in the year 2023 as compared to the year 2022.
- Along with this, there has been a decline of 18.33% in snatching related cases while 8% decline has been recorded in serious injury related cases.
- It was said in the meeting that a case will be registered under Section 498A only after investigating all the facts.
- Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapoor said that bulk SMS service will be started to make people aware about prevention of cyber crime.
- The Director General of Police, while directing the Superintendents of Police, said that they should ensure compliance with lane driving on NH-152D, NH-44 and NH-9 passing through their respective jurisdictions.
- The Director General of Police said that from December 1 to 13, challans have been issued to 6000 vehicles for lane driving.
- In this meeting, Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapoor also reviewed the Gram Prahari Scheme.
