11 Players from MP will represent India in World University Games in China | 27 Jul 2023
Why In News?
According to the information received from Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department on July 26, 2023, players of 11 different disciplines in Madhya Pradesh will represent India in the World University Games to be held in Chengdu (China) from July 28 to August 8. In this, nine players are from different academies of Madhya Pradesh.
Key Points:
- Madhya Pradesh Athletics Academy of Excellence Samar Deep Singh, Nidhi Pawaiya, Shalini Chowdhary (all Barkatullah University) Arjun Vaskale (SNCity University), MP Fencing Academy of Excellence Shankar (Rabindranath Tagore University Raisen), Ankit Sharma (Lovely Professional University) and Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar and Aashi Choukse (both Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) and Chinki Yadav (Barkatullah University) from Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy of Excellence will represent India at the World University Games.
- Madhya Pradesh's Nandini Vats (Rabindranath Tagore University) and Kumari Avinash Yadav (Lovely Professional University, Phagwara) will represent India in the World University Games in Judo.
- Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia met all the players at TT Nagar Stadium and extended best wishes.
