    Main Features of Classical Dance Forms :

    • Bharatanatyam (Tamil Nadu): Characterized by intricate footwork, expressive hand gestures (mudras), and elaborate facial expressions, this dance form tells stories through a combination of abhinaya (acting) and nritta (pure dance).
    • Kathak (Uttar Pradesh): Known for its rhythmic footwork and spins, Kathak integrates storytelling with music, often drawing from Hindu mythology. The use of expressive facial movements is prominent.
