    (a) Find the overall average marks of all the four subjects in 2020?

    (b) In which year are the overall average marks of four different subjects at their maximum and minimum?

    (c) What is the percentage increase or decrease in average Maths marks for every two years from 2017 to 2022?

    (d) In which two years did the minimum marks in English increase the most?

    (e) During which year was the difference between the average and minimum marks in Hindi the greatest?

    In 2020,

Average Marks on English = 70

Average Marks on Maths = 80

Average Marks on Hindi = 88

Average Marks on Science = 86

    So, overall average marks = (70 + 80 + 88 + 86)/4

    = 324/4

    = 81

Hence, the overall average marks of all the four subjects in 2020 is 81.

    (b) In which year are the overall average marks of four different subjects at their maximum and minimum?

Answer: The overall average marks of all the four subjects in 2017

    = (70 + 70 + 84 + 80)/4

    = 76

The overall average marks of all the four subjects in 2018

    = (75 + 75 + 85 + 85)/4

    = 80

The overall average marks of all the four subjects in 2019

    = (65 + 76 + 90 + 88)/4

    = 79.75

The overall average marks of all the four subjects in 2020

    = (70 + 80 + 88 + 86)/4

    = 81

The overall average marks of all the four subjects in 2021

    = (75 + 75 + 75 + 82)/4

    = 76.75

The overall average marks of all the four subjects in 2022

    = (80 + 85 + 78 + 85)/4

    = 82

Hence, the overall average marks of four different subjects are maximum in 2022 and the overall average marks of four different subjects are minimum in 2017.

    (c) What is the percentage increase or decrease in average Maths marks for every two years from 2017 to 2022?

    Answer:

    In 2017-18,

    Average Maths Marks in 2017 = 70

    Average Maths Marks in 2018 = 75

    Percentage Difference in Average Marks = (75-70)/70 × 100 = 7.14%

So, the percentage increase in average Maths marks for 2017-18 is 7.14%.

    In 2018-19,

    Average Maths Marks in 2018 = 75

    Average Maths Marks in 2019 = 76

    Percentage Difference in Average Marks = (76 – 75)/75 × 100 = 1.33%

So, the percentage increase in average Maths marks for 2018-19 is 1.33%.

    In 2019-20,

    Average Maths Marks in 2019 = 76

    Average Maths Marks in 2020 = 80

    Percentage Difference in Average Marks = (80 – 76)/76 × 100 = 5.26%

So, the percentage increase in average Maths marks for 2019-20 is 5.26%.

    In 2020-21,

    Average Maths Marks in 2020 = 80

    Average Maths Marks in 2021 = 75

    Percentage Difference in Average Marks = (75-80)/80 × 100 = –6.25%

So, the percentage decrease in average Maths marks for 2020-21 is 6.25%.

    In 2021-22,

    Average Maths Marks in 2021 = 75

    Average Maths Marks in 2022 = 85

    Percentage Difference in Average Marks = (85-75)/75 × 100 = 13.33%

So, the percentage increase in average Maths marks for 2021-22 is 13.33%.

    (d) In which two years did the minimum marks in English increase the most?

    Answer:

    In 2017-18,

Minimum Marks in English in 2017 = 45

Minimum Marks in English in 2018 = 50

    So, Increase in Minimum Marks in English = 50 – 45 = 5

    In 2018-19,

Minimum Marks in English in 2018 = 50

Minimum Marks in English in 2019 = 48

    So, Increase in Minimum Marks in English = 48 – 50 = -2

    In 2019-20,

Minimum Marks in English in 2019 = 48

Minimum Marks in English in 2020 = 60

    So, Increase in Minimum Marks in English = 60 – 48 = 12

    In 2020-21,

Minimum Marks in English in 2020 = 60

Minimum Marks in English in 2021 = 58

So, Increase in Minimum Marks in English = 58-60 = –2

    In 2021-22,

Minimum Marks in English in 2021 = 58

Minimum Marks in English in 2022 = 65

    So, Increase in Minimum Marks in English = 65 – 58 = 7

Hence, the minimum mark in English increases the most in the years 2019 – 2020.

    (e) During which year was the difference between the average and minimum marks in Hindi the greatest?

    Answer:

    In 2017,

Average Marks in Hindi = 84

Minimum Marks in Hindi = 75

    Difference between average and minimum marks in Hindi = 84 – 75 = 9

    In 2018,

Average Marks in Hindi = 85

Minimum Marks in Hindi = 78

    Difference between average and minimum marks in Hindi = 85 – 78 = 7

    In 2019,

Average Marks in Hindi = 90

Minimum Marks in Hindi = 88

    Difference between average and minimum marks in Hindi = 90 – 88 = 2

    In 2020,

Average Marks in Hindi = 88

Minimum Marks in Hindi = 85

    Difference between average and minimum marks in Hindi = 88 – 85 = 3

    In 2021,

Average Marks in Hindi = 75

Minimum Marks in Hindi = 74

    Difference between average and minimum marks in Hindi = 75 – 74 = 1

    In 2022,

Average Marks in Hindi = 78

Minimum Marks in Hindi = 70

    Difference between average and minimum marks in Hindi = 78 – 70 = 8

Hence, the difference between the average and minimum marks in Hindi was the greatest in the year 2017.
