According to the latest announcement made by the University Grants Commission (UGC), it has introduced the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) which has been made mandatory for undergraduate admission at any of the 45 central university in the country. The CUET UG - 2022 is being initiated to curtail the practice of using a student’s Board marks to determine his/her eligibility to get admission to a college. With CUET UG - 2022, sky-high cut-off marks will be a thing of the past.
Several governments, over the years, have made attempts to replace multiple entrance tests with a single one to reduce the burden on higher education aspirants. The answer to their rigorous search was ultimately found in CUET UG - 2022.
CUET UG - 2022 is a revamped version of CUCET and it’s now compulsory for all 45 central universities to adopt it. This has come after the announcement of the new National Education Policy (NEP), which advocates the need for an entrance test for university admissions.
The CUET UG - 2022 (UG) 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode. National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Undergraduate entrance tests for all the Central Universities (CUs) for the academic session 2022-2023. The CUET (UG) 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will be conducted in 13 languages namely Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia and English by the National Testing Agency (NTA). CUET UG - 2022 may also be adopted by the State / Private / Deemed Universities.
UGC offers 27 domain subjects such as Accountancy, Bookkeeping, Biology/Biological Studies/Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Geography, History, etc. A student can choose upto 6 domains out of 27 subjects.
With the introduction of CUET UG - 2022, students from every corner of the country can dream of getting admission in the central university of their choice which was earlier only a luxury of students with higher scores in Board Examinations!
NTA will be conducting the CUET (UG) – 2022 for admission to various Undergraduate courses/ programmes offered by central and other participating Universities/ Institutes across the country for the academic year 2022-23 in CBT Mode as per details given below:

If any University permits students of previous years of class XII to take admission in the current year also, such students would also be eligible to appear in CUET UG - 2022
