Use RSS feeds to gather your daily articles!

  • 11 Nov 2020

What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication or RSS is a web feed that allows users and applications to access updates to websites in a standardized, computer-readable format. These feeds can, for example, allow a user to keep track of many different websites in a single news aggregator. (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS)

If you are not using any RSS app for gathering your daily articles, here is how you can do it:

Step 1: Use an online RSS service or app like Feedly (which is free and works great!) - https://feedly.com

For more such apps and online services, please consult these articles:

Browser/Windows Desktop: https://techwombat.com/best-rss-readers-stay-top-feeds/

Android: https://www.androidauthority.com/best-rss-reader-apps-for-android-2-174770/

Apple iOS: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/rss-reader-apps-iphone/

Step 2: Login to your RSS app/online service and use the following links to subscribe to our daily feed:

English Medium: https://www.drishtiias.com/rss.rss

Hindi Medium: https://www.drishtiias.com/hindi/rss.rss

Step 3: Follow the Drishti IAS feed!

Once you do follow our feed, everyday, all new additions to our content – including YouTube videos – will be added to your list automatically. This way all you have to do is open your RSS app/online service and find all the content sorted for you day wise!

The following images show how Feedly & Drishti IAS feeds work together in the browser:

Hope you find this little trick useful to your IAS preparation!
